The last few years every tournament morning Willie would the first guy you’d see pulling into the launch site. He would be there to complete the boat check, first to see if your livewell was empty and second to ensure you’d be safe that day with your PFD’s onboard.
At the end of the day Willie worked with his brother Jimmy to ensure the fish were carefully handled and safely released back into the water. He never had a harsh word to say even when we may have deserved one. Willie will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
