Moran and Cheney Take Win at Harvey Lake

May 9, 2021

On a blustery and bitterly cold day, the team of Andy Moran and Corey Cheney squeaked out a narrow victory at Harvey Lake presented by Northside Tire and Automotive.

The morning started out relatively calm and cool but the winds picked up throughout the day and water temperatures stayed steady, causing the bite to become stagnate for most. 30 boats were registered for the inaugural event of the 2021 season and all were eager to get the season under way. On a day where the big fish seemed to be eluding most anglers, Moan and Cheney were able to put together a bag of 14.75 lbs to narrowly beat the team of Brandon Jones and Clark Rayner who wrangled a bag of 14.70 lbs. Jones and Rayner also brought in the biggest fish of the day weighing in at 4.05lbs. Rounding out the top 3 teams, in 3rd place was the team of Rob and Wendy Nickerson who put together a 14.40lbs sack of New Brunswick Smallmouth.

Congratulations to all teams as they fought through some tough conditions to give the 25th anniversary season a great send off. See you all in Nackawic 22-23 May.
