The team that weighs-in the largest fish in one of the New Brunswick Sportfishing Association regular season tournaments (7) will take home a prize package worth over $1,850. That\u2019s above and beyond the money won at the individual tournament. That could make that one fish worth over $2,300! Not bad for just one fish!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Abu Garcia Lunker of the Year Prize Package Sponsored by MTB Brokerage is comprised of two Abu Garcia Veracity Spinning Rods (MSRP $256.99 each) and two Abu Garcia Zata Spinning Reels (MSRP $229.99 each), with tax a value of over $1,100 plus $750 cash, for a total Value of over $1,850.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the July 3rd event out of Woodstock the father and son team of Rick and Jonathon Thomas brought the Lunker of the day to the scales weighing in at 3.80 pounds worth a cheque for $470. Jonathon indicated they has a tough day and didn\u2019t hook a lot of fish, but obviously they found the right one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Thomas & Thomas 3.80-pound Lunker could not unseat the 4.20-pound Lunker previously caught by the Team of Wilf Edmond & Mike Rickett at the Nackawic Tournament of May 22nd & 23rd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next New Brunswick Sportfishing Association Tournament will be presented by long time sponsors Lucky Strike Bait Works and Boll\u00e9 Sunglasses at Magaguadavic Lake on July 17th. As of late this body of water hasn\u2019t been know for monster fish, but you never know. I\u2019m sure there\u2019s at least one Lunker there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
