Ralph (Edward) Beek

1943 – 2016

Ralph served his country for 42 years in the Canadian Forces that included two tours in Cyprus and a tour in Alert.  After retiring Ralph become the local handyman and was always the first in line to help family, friends and neighbours.  He was an active member of his church, the Black Watch Association, the RCR Association, the Royal Canadian Legion and the New Brunswick Sportfishing Association.

If you knew Ralph, you knew his boisterous & contagious laugh and his massive handshake.  He was a caring man that was extremely proud of his family.  He would always take the time to stop and chat no matter where you met him.

As many NBSFA members know, Ralph was an avid smallmouth bass angler. But what you may not know was that he was also an avid salmon anglers and guide.  And because of it, in 2016 Ralph was also inducted into the Atlantic Salmon Hall of Fame along with his father Turney.
