Moran and Wilson take 1st in Woodstock

Jul 4, 2021

47 teams rolled into Woodstock with hopes of taking the title of “Champion” in the Clark Oil event held on 03 July 2021. The boats filled the narrow passageway of the Meduxnekaeg river just before 7 am. The teams were met with 10 degree weather and water 2 feet higher than they were for before the area closed to fishing for the competitors. Rains had clouded the water and with the ambient air temperature a fraction of the week before, finding where the fish had moved and enduring yet another cold day on the water were going to be the challenges needed to overcome if the teams were going to finish on top.

After the final fish were weighed, there were some familiar names on top of the leaderboard. Leading the way were Wilson and Moran with 15.85 lbs. Finishing second, for the second time in as many starts were McFarlane and Louvelle with 15.60 lbs and were followed closely by the third place team of Hood and Jones with 15.50 lbs. The lunker for the day was brought in by the team of Thomas and Thomas. Their bruiser weighed in at 3.80 lbs

A spectacular turnout for the third stop of the season!

Next, the teams will head to Magaguadavic Lake on 17 July.
