McFarlane and Louvelle Crowned 2021 Classic Champs

Sep 21, 2021

The village of Perth Andover and town of Woodstock were hosts to the 2021 Classic championship September 18 and 19.

Day one started fog free in Perth Andover as 33 teams took to the wind swept waters above Beechwood. The current was strong and water was dirty but it didn’t stop the teams of McFarlane/Louvelle and Greene/Barrett finding 19.70 lbs each to share the lead after the first day. Biggest fish of the day came from the McFarlane/Louvelle boat at 4.55lbs.

The teams then moved on to Woodstock for day 2. The teams lined the Meduxnekeag river just before 7 am and the teams were off on a cool and calm Sunday morning. Teams raced up and down the river trying to sort through the plentiful smaller fish to find the highly sought “keepers”. In the end, the only thing to be sorted was which of the top teams were going to be able to add to their lead.

After all the teams came through, the team of McFarlane / Louvelle were able to hold off charges from Greene / Barrett and Moran / Wilson and were crowned 2021 Classic Champions with a total weight of 36.10 lbs over the 2 days. Hewey / Hewey brought in the biggest fish of day 2 at 4.30 lbs.
