Abu Garcia Lunker of the Year Award Sponsored by MTB Brokerage

The Abu Garcia Lunker of the Year Award Sponsored by MTB Brokerage is a very nice prize package for the team that lands the largest smallmouth in one of the seven NBSFA regular season tournaments. The prize package will be comprised of two Abu Garcia Veracity Spinning Rods (MSRP $256.99 each) and two Abu Garcia Zata Spinning Reels (MSRP $229.99 each), with tax a value of over $1,100 plus $750 cash, for a total Value of over $1,850.

Prior to the Nackawic two-day tournament of May 22nd & 23rd the Team of Brandon Jones and Clark Rayner were the leaders for the prize package with a healthy 4.05-pound smallmouth from Harvey Lake. However, on day two of Nackawic tournament the Team of Wilf Edmond & Mike Rickett brought a 4.20-pound fish to the scales to become the new leaders.

The next New Brunswick Sportfishing Association Tournament Sponsored by Clark Oil is scheduled for July 3rd out of the Town of Woodstock. The Woodstock area is known for big fish so the current lunker may not stand for long!

PRIZE PACKAGE DETAILS

Abu Garcia Veracity Spinning Rods are made with 3M Powerlux resin delivering a 30% stronger blank. The Titanium Alloy guides have ultra light zirconium inserts allowing for a lightweight balanced rod. The cork and high-density EVA handle give greater sensitivity and durability.

The Abu Garcia Zata Spinning Reels have 10 stainless steel HPCR bearings + one roller bearing, lightweight aluminum frame, 6.2 to 1 retrieve, 14 lb max drag, machined aluminum braid ready spool, Rocket line management system and spool lip design, stainless steel main shaft & components along with many other features.
