John Michael (Mike) Peace

1953 - 2000

Mike served his country for 25 years in the Royal Canadian Regiment and was assigned to the 403 Helicopter Operational Training Squadron at the time of his passing. His citations included: Special Service Medal with NATO Bar, Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal and Canadian Forces Decoration and Clasp.

Mike was a member of the New Brunswick Sportfishing Association and the Fredericton Anglers Club. If you knew Mike, you knew that he was always after the lunker of the tournament and had several trophies to show that he found at least a few of them! The Fredericton Anglers Club Annual Lunker of the Year Trophy is dedicated to Mike for this reason.

Mike was a quiet caring man that was extremely proud of his family. He is missed by many.
