Douglas John Young

1936 - 2014

Before his retirement Doug worked for 3M Canada for over 25 years. There were not many sports or outdoor activities that Doug didn’t love. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, curling, bowling, baseball, golfing, as well as playing old timers’ hockey. He was a former member of the Kinsmen, Kiwanis and the UCT.

Doug volunteered at Bobby’s Hospice and brought tremendous comfort and laughter to many patients. He affected many lives, was a friend to all and always willing to lend a hand and bring some sunshine into a gloomy day. He touched many people throughout his life.
