Dennis Wilson

1950 - 2017

Dennis was a passionate fisherman and a very accomplished Smallmouth Bass Tournament angler. If a tournament was happening, he was most likely on the water fishing it! His accomplishments were numerous: as part of Team of the Year and Provincial Champions on multiple occasions. The New Brunswick Sportfishing Association tournament trail will miss his competitiveness and laughter. No one knows where he stored all his trophies!

He hosted the Tight Lines Fishing Show for several years, fishing with local celebrities, local political leaders, business owners and like-minded anglers. It was not unusual to see his Champion boat heading down the lake looking for the next big fish.

Dennis spent many an hour on the farm with his father caring for their award-winning Polled Herford cattle. In later years he ran his Raven Lumber Mill. There are many anglers and others that have projects built with Dennis Wilson lumber.

In his passing Dennis was a generous benefactor to the NBSFA and in his honour the Association hosts the Dennis Wilson Memorial Tournament on the Saint John River every summer.
