Barrett and Greene Catch Monster Bag to Win in Perth-Andover

Aug 15, 2021

It was hot. It was muggy. And then it was wet, but skill was on full display as the NBSFA anglers brought big bag after big bag to the scales at the conclusion of the Perth-Andover event sponsored by the village.

The morning started off warm and serene, but it was just the calm before the storm…literally. 42 teams raced off the starting line at 7am and come 4pm, they did not disappoint. By noon, the heat and humidity was full force and fish care was an on-going and continuous process. At 2pm the skies opened up and simply seeing the boat next to you a chore.

At the end of the day, Greene / Barrett brought a huge bag of 21 lbs to the scales and didn’t weigh in a lunker. Why? Because the lunker of the day was a whopping 4.75lbs! There was a tie for second place between the teams of Jones / Hood and Arsenault / Alward at 19.42 lbs.

To get into 10th place in this event, you needed to bring in 17.75lbs! Proving that the fishery in Perth-Andover may just be the best in the province. Thank you to the village for sponsoring this event. We’ll be back in a month!
